Streaming

Audio is transmitted using RTP over UDP. Define the UDP ports to be used for the communication.

UDP Receiver Port
Enter the port number for receiving a RTP/UDP stream.
Set to a value between 0 (disabled) and 65535.
Default port for RTP/UDP: "3030".

UDP Tx Source Port
Enter the source port number to be used when sending a RTP/UDP stream. Set to a value between 0 and 65535. When set to 0 a random port number is used.
Default setting: "0".

Back channel
The Back channel is used, during a "Half Duplex" connection, to send Control Input status data from a receiving unit back to the transmitting unit. A short UDP package is addressed to the "from" port+2 of the unit transmitting the audio. Data is sent at the rate determined by the Back channel period. A status change of the Control Inputs of the receiving unit will be detected by the transmitting unit within an interval of three times the Back channel period. When audio is streamed to multiple receivers all receiving units must use identical mappings of the Control Inputs and Control Outputs. The Control Input status of the individual receivers is added up in the transmitting unit.
Default setting: "On".

Back channel period
The Back channel period is a value in 100 millisecond units which determines how frequently Back channel data should be returned to a unit transmitting audio. If multiple receivers are returning data then all should be set with the same Back channel period.
Default setting: 0 which is treated as equivalent to 1 (100 milliseconds).
